Satyananda Yoga

Satyananda Yoga was developed by Swami Satyananda Saraswati based on traditional yoga practices adapted to suit our modern lifestyle.  It encompasses many forms of yoga including Hatha, Raja, Karma, Jnana, Mantra, and Bhakti and can be tailored to suit the individual needs of the student.

Satyananda Yoga is a systematic approach that incorporates awareness of all aspects of one's being, using asanas or postures to balance the physical body, pranayama or breathing practices to balance  the energy body, meditation to calm and focus the mind and yoga nidra or deep relaxation to reduce stress, promote healing and create a sense of well-being. There is also a strong emphasis in Satyananda Yoga on yogic lifestyle as a means of creating a more balanced and enriched life.  Satyananda Yoga is gentle and achievable.
