About Kailash Yoga Centre inc.

Kailash Yoga Centre (a not-for-profit association) was established in 1997 by Gillian and Richard Budden to provide the Wollongong area with Satyananda Yoga.  Yoga classes have been taught by Gillian and Richard in many different parts of the Illawarra for the past fifteen years. Most yoga classes are now taught in the fully equipped yoga studio located in Woonona (see address below).  Gillian and Richard are available to teach general and specialist classes at the Woonona studio or other appropriate venues.  Private classes are also available at Woonona.
The Centre was named after Mount Kailash (Kailasa) which is a sacred mountain located in Tibet near the Nepalese and Indian borders.  This magnificent mountain is sacred to the Tibetan people,  to Buddhists and Hindus.  Richard travelled to Mt Kailash in 2000 to circumambulate the Mountain and to visit other sacred sites in Tibet and Nepal.
