Sri Ram has been studying and practicing yoga and meditation since 1991. He has lived, worked, and studied in a number of yoga centres including the Anahata Yoga Retreat, NZ; Satyanandashram, Ancaster, Canada; Rocklyn Yoga Ashram, Victoria, Australia; and Bihar School of Yoga, India. David Tries (also known as Sri Ram) is a provisionally registered psychologist who works at the Gambler's Help (City) office within the Melbourne Counselling Service, Salvation Army. David supports individuals who have a problem gambling and has run Mindful Relaxation groups incorporating yoga, meditation, and contemporary psychological principles. David is currently receiving a Research Fellowship from the Problem Gambling Research & Treatment Centre to explore the benefits of yoga and meditation in improving quality of life within individuals who have a problem gambling.
