Classes run by Mt Martha Holistic Yoga are run from community venues, mainly at Mt Martha House.

The Centre is Affilitaed with Satyanada Yoga (R) and there is only one teacher.

Gill has a wealth of knowledge, much experience teaching people with health concerns, disabilities and all age groups.

Regular Chanting of Mahamritunjaya Mantra for healing takes place on a Saturday evening. Phone for details.

Term 2 12th April - 21st June    No classes Anzac Day 26th April & Queens Birthday 14th June.

Term 3 12th July - 17th September.

Term 4 11th October - 15th November incl:  No classes November 1st (Melbourne Cup weekend).

Address of classes

Mt Martha House, Community Centre is located on the corner of Dominion Road and Esplanade, Mt Martha.

There is ample carparking at the rear of the building. Rooms 64 & 5 are accessed via the main door.

Term 2 morning classes are held in Room 18 and the evening classes have relocated to the foyer at The Peninsula Community Theatre, (old Mornington High School Hall) while Mt Martha House undergoes renovations.


Class Fee Structure

Monday morning $12 session.   Monday nights $15 session (concessions available).

Term fees paid up front include a discount.

Please bring a yoga mat (we are on wooden floors), and a cushion. Arrive 10 minutes early and wear comfortable loose clothiong. 

It is better to have nothing to eat for 2 hours before class.

Details of Your Teacher

Gill Gordon (also known as Suryamurti) is an experienced Satyanada Yoga (R) Teacher.   She was inspired to teach by Paramahamsa Satyanand & Paramahamsa Niranjananda Saraswati.   

She holds a current Diploma of Satyanad Yoga (R) and has been teaching since 1989. The classes include a balance of asana (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), Yoga Nidra (R) and Meditation in a way which caters for people of all ages and abilities.

Classes cater for specific needs.   She has a specific interest in teaching Satyananda Yoga (R) for the over 50's and to assist in preparing for your own and others you love and care for death's.

Gill teaches regularly at Disability Centres and visits India on a regular basis.   She is also a Career Counsellor, and a current member os CDAA, with a particular interest in Myers Briggs Type Indicator.  www.expandedcaree />
