Workshops, seminars and special events are a great way to explore yoga
in depth and to meet like-minded people in a friendly, relaxed
atmosphere.

SYTA Professional Development workshops and seminars offered by individual teachers are detailed below.
SYTA
members regularly conduct or organise yoga and meditation seminars and
workshops in areas of interest to students, teachers and the general
public. Attendance at these workshops is often evidenced by a
Statement of Attendance detailing the topics covered for those who may
wish to use this in a Recognition of Prior learning (RPL) scenario.
Hari Om
Fellow Satyananda Yoga Teachers,
A collaboration of the University of South Australia and Flinders
Medical Centre is running a preliminary trial of a yoga and
meditation intervention for lymphoedema resulting from breast cancer
treatment.
For the intervention, we are currently developing a 4-week yoga
course (weekly classes and home practice) based on Satyananda Yoga
practices. We would like to invite input from teachers who are
experienced in management of lymphoedema and/or treatment of breast
cancer for development of this course.
If you are interested in providing input, please email: Dr. Maarten
Immink (S. Mantragyanam)at
maarten.immink@unisa.edu.au in your email please
indicate your level of experience in yoga for lymphoedema and/or
breast cancer. Alternatively, you can phone Dr. Immink on: 08 8302
2675.
Regards,
Maarten Immink
