The Benefits of Yoga

  • Postures or asanas work on the physical body, gently stretching and toning the muscles, massaging and toning the organs, and stimulating the nervous system to improve overall health and well-being.

  • Breathing practices balance the energy and the emotions through control of the breath.

  • Yoga nidra (deep relaxation) is a systematic practice which promotes healing through complete physical, emotional and mental relaxation.

  • Meditation  helps still the busy mind through practices such as breath awareness and withdrawal of the senses, allowing the student to become more focused and to look within.

  • All classes are designed to increase the student’s sense of awareness and  introduce practices which can be integrated into their daily lives.
