Information on Yoga Classes

Yoga classes in the Satyananda tradition offer postures, breathing practices and meditation for students of all levels of ability. A typical class:

  • begins with a short relaxation to centre and forget the outside world for a while
     

  • moves into a series of yoga postures (asana) to relax the body, increase flexibility and remove energy blocks
     

  • further relaxes and focuses the mind while improving energy flow with breathing practices (pranayama)
     

  • before integrating and harmonising body, mind and spirit with deep relaxation (yoga nidra) and meditation

Term 3 classes commence Monday 21st July, 2008 (10 week term)
 

Monday 6.30 - 7.30 pm Introduction to Yoga Glenmore Park
Monday 7.45 - 9.15 pm General Yoga Glenmore Park
Tuesday 9.30 - 11.00 am General Yoga Cambridge Park
Tuesday 6.30 - 7.30 pm Introduction to Yoga North Penrith
Tuesday 7.45 - 9.15 pm General Yoga North Penrith
Wednesday 6.30 - 7.30 pm Introduction to Yoga Cranebrook
Wednesday 7.45 - 9.15 pm General Yoga Cranebrook
Thursday 7.00 - 8.30pm Gen. class, beginners welcome McGraths Hill
Friday 9.30 - 10.30 am Introduction to Yoga Cambridge Park

Additionally, one day seminars on Stress Management and Yoga are held throughout the year.

Private tuition and Corporate classes can be arranged upon request.
