Annie runs a weekly Tuesday morning Yoga class in Daylesford at 10am, teaches regularly at the Rocklyn Yoga Ashram, and established Yogabout in late 2020. Yogabout offers weekend getaways incoporating guided bushwalks, yoga, sound therapy (live relaxing piano and sound bowls), yoga nidra and forest bathing.
Yogabout retreats are offered to suit different people's fitness levels, ie there are weekends withshort bushwalks (less than 4km), medium length bushwalks (4 - 10km) and longer bushwalks (more than 10km). The bushwalks enable you to mindfully discover the wonders of the historic Goldfields Track, local springs, lakes, state forests, regional and national parks in the Daylesford area.
Yoga classes on the Yogabout Getaways are suitable for beginners to advanced and include asana's (postures) and pranayama (breathing techniques). Yoga Nidra, a lying down relaxation, is offered everyday as well.
Yogabout guests stay at the Satyananda Rocklyn Yoga Ashram nestled amongst the tall trees in Wombat State Forest, Rocklyn, only 15 minutes from Daylesford and 1.5hr from Melbourne and Geelong. On Saturday evenings before dinner Yogabout guests, join Ashram residents in an auspicious Havan (fire ceremony) for health and healing.
Anne has practiced Yoga since 1991, and completed her teacher training in the Satyananda Tradition in 2019.
