In the afternoon Swami Gautama Saraswati, (James Crisp), will offer a program based on the principals of the Upanishads: Yoga, Karma and Destiny, including theory, practice and time for Q&A:discussion.

Vedic Mantra Chanting and Yoga Nidra with Sannyasi MahadevanandaMahadeva, a retired teacher, lives and teaches yoga in Alice Springs, in beautiful Central Australia. Hugely grateful for her training in Satyananda Yoga, for wonderful teachers, for the wealth of publications which gave free access to esoteric truths, for opportunities to experience both ashram life and rare Vedic fire ceremonies, she continues to explore all aspects of yoga. She is drawn in particular to Vedic chanting, including the chanting of the Upanishads. At the same time she is a householder and enjoys access to ideas, art, theatre, nature, friends and family. She has been married for almost sixty years and has two children and four grandchildren.
Teachings from the Upanishads: Yoga, Karma and Destiny with Swami Gautama Saraswati.Gautama has been practising and teaching yoga for over 40 years. He lived in yoga ashrams of Swami Satyananda in Australia and India and imbibed the essence of the yogic tradition. He has experience teaching students of all ages in schools, prisons, workplaces, persons with disability and seniors. He currently resides in Sydney where he is studying the Vedic texts relating to Yoga, Ayurveda and Vedic Astrology. He aims to utilise traditional teachings into practical application to make yoga relevant and accessible to people wishing to improve the quality of their life and their understanding of themselves and others.
