Krishna Thorburn began his life with yoga as a young child. He grew up in the Blue Mountains with both his parents teaching yoga locally. He visited yoga centres and ashrams both in India and Australia during his formative years, these influences helped to cultivate a deep inspiration for Yoga and the Yogic lifestyle culminating in his own development as a Yoga teacher and trainer.
Krishna’s Yoga practice started early in his life but it wasn’t until his mid to late teens that more disciplined yoga practice started.
After ten years of steady personal practice he decided to undertake formal yogic studies in 2004 completing four modules of yogic studies and then teacher training. He was awarded level 1 certificate teacher training in 2008 and in 2014 was awarded full accreditation at level 2 Yoga teaching and the Diploma of Satyananda Yoga training after undertaking further bridging study.
From 2009-2014 Krishna was a permanent teacher at MY Manly Yoga, where he focused on a variety of class types including; beginners, open classes, strengthening asana, deep relaxation and meditation classes.
In 2014 he moved back to the Blue Mountains with his family and has been teaching yoga at a variety of venues giving primarily open inclusive classes . Blue Mountains venues past and present.

Krishna also has a fine arts background, holding a BFA from the National Art School awarded in 2001 and has been undertaking a Masters in Teaching (Secondary Visual Arts).
Krishna teaches a holistic and inclusive integral style of yoga class (satyananda yoga), that guides students through physical postures and movement, breath work, relaxation and meditation. Currently based in lithgow NSW, as well as teaching in the Blue Mountains. He is also available for private classes and personal training on application.
