Savita has been a practitioner of Satyananda Yoga since 1993. Since that time she has completed Yogic Studies in 2004 culminating in the Diploma of Satyananda Yoga Teaching in 2008. She began her teaching in Yoga Ashram at Mangrove Mountain in 2006 and out in the community in New South Wales (Queanbeyan) from 2007. In October 2008 she moved her Queanbeyan class to the Jerrabomberra Community Centre where she continued to offer classes until 2017 when she moved house to Jerrabomberra and set up her home studio. She now teaches from home and in Canberra as well.
Other qualifications include a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Canberra completed in 2003 and a life-long interest and practice in Martial Arts.
Savita has also been attending Ashram in India (Sivananda Yoga Ashram, Rikhia) from 2013. She has now made several visits where she has attended courses and particiated in Ashram programs and life and full Seva.
She runs a regular Kirtan both from her home in Jerrabomberra and in Canberra each first Friday of the month.
