Swami Muktibodhananda is a world-class exponent of the Satyananda Yoga system. Born in Melbourne, Australia, from childhood she was drawn to the disciplines of yogic sadhana and ashram life. At the age of 17 she traveled to India to live in her guru's ashram, Bihar School of Yoga, Munger. She studied under the direct tutilege of Paramahansa Swami Satyananda for 10 years, teaching, practising sadhana and authoring the Yoga Publications Trust commentary Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Light on Hatha Yoga and Swara Yoga, the Tantric Science of Brain Breathing.
In 1986 Sw. Muktibodha returned from India and has since been teaching in Australia and aboard. She was given the title of Yogacharya by Swami Niranjanananda in 1993.
Being well versed in the scientific and traditional aspects of yoga, Sw. Muktibodha understand yoga's practical application in the modern world and is available for individual private sessions either in person or online. Throughout the year she also conducts Zoom workshops, which are advertised here or on her website.
